Ekan®OIL 50

Form Release Agent

EKAN®OIL 50 is a synthetic form release oil that facilitates the easy removal of concrete from the formwork , helps in the easy release of trapped air on the concrete surface, and makes it easier to achieve a smooth surface.

Before applying EKAN®OIL 50, the formwork surface
should be cleaned out properly and the final application area should be dry. This inolves the removal of any wooden, steel particles, debris or dust from the surface.

Areas of Use

  • Formwork made of wood, plyywood, plastic, steel, etc.

  • Horizontal and vertical surfaces.

Application

Consumption: Generally, 1 L of EKAN®OIL 50 is sufficient for the tre-atment of 3-5 m2 formwork surface by brushing. Ove-rapplication might cause the concrete face damage.

For best performance, EKAN®OIL 50 should be applied on the formwork as a single thin layer. EKAN®OIL 50 should either be homogenously sprayed, or spread with a plain or roller brush.

EKAN®OIL 50 should not be overapplied, and spread as extensively as possible. It should be ensured that no excess material is left on the surface.

Pre-test is recommended for determining the optimum amount for spray applications.

Measures

EKAN®OIL 50’s shelf life is 12 months when stored in its original package in a dry place at temperatures between
+5°C and +30°C.
