Ekan® COLOR R

Powdered Colour Pigment for Concrete

  • EKAN®COLOR R is an iron oxide pigment used for mass coloring of concrete. It is used to give red color to concrete mass and concrete surfaces. Due to its powder form, it should be added to the concrete during the production stage.

  • EKAN®COLOR R does not have a negative impact on the strength of concrete. It can be applied before the pumping stage in all weather conditions since it does not adversely affect the concrete setting time.

  • The special formula of EKAN®COLOR R is non-toxic, making it suitable for all types of concrete production.

Application

Dosage: 3 kg – 6 kg per 100 kg cement.

EKAN®COLOR R is not water-soluble. For best performance, it is recommended to add the product directly to the transit mixer.

Optimum dose of EKAN®COLOR R should be established after local tests considering the expected colour of the concrete surface finish.

Measures

EKAN®COLOR R’s shelf life is 12 months when stored in its original package and away from direct sunlight.

After a long idle period, EKAN®COLOR R may only be used unless it has frozen or formed lumps.
